In what has a strong claim to be Colón's loveliest house (on its
prettiest street), this gorgeous spot has cracking characterful
rooms decorated faithfully in keeping with the 1880 building, with
enormous windows, plenty of wood and noble rustic furniture. The
family duplexes are a great deal. All rooms surround a patio
dominated by a fragrant Paraguay jasmine; there's also a heated pool
and Jacuzzi. It's not a restaurant, despite the name. |

Completely
restored in 1998, this was the town's first hotel an
later became the restaurant from which its name comes.
The old-fashioned furnishings and vibrant colors of the
colonial patio and lobby define charming. All rooms
consist of two floors and easily fit five people. Instead
of air-conditioning and television, they have antique
wooden fans an memorable views of the river. Rooms are off from Sunday to Thursday, making this an even
better bargain. |
Completamente
restaurado en 1998, éste fue el primer hotel del pueblo
y más tarde se volvió el restaurante del que proviene
su nombre. Los muebles antiguos y los colores vibrantes
del patio colonial y antecámara definen su encanto.
Todos los cuartos cuentan con dos plantas y fácilmente
caben cinco personas. En lugar del del aire acondicionado
y televisión, ellos tienen antiguos detalles de madera y
vistas memorables del río. Los cuartos están tienen un
descuento de domingo a jueves, haciendo ésta una
ganga aun mejor. |
